not a gay place
Not sure why this place is recommended for gays. Not many gays were staying there during a recent visit. The rooms had a musty smell and the place needs a good cleaning. Definitely not worth the price which is on the expensive side, at least in the high season.
A classy, beautiful Inn
Wind Chimes is one of the few guest houses with a pool. It is steps to the most beautiful beaches in San Juan, abutting Ocean Park. For more information on gay San Juan, visit http://thenakedisland.com
A great place to decompress
A great boutique hotel to chill at and decompress. It's very quiet and the employees are nearly invisible unless you need them. Highly recommend staying here or at their sister property the Acacia which is about half a block away. It's even quieter. Make sure you find the little bar in the back at Wind Chimes and definitely try the restaurant over at Acacia...
Nice Boutique Hotel
A friend and I stayed here and found it perfect for our needs. It was priced right and close to the beach. It's nothing fancy but clean and friendly staff, and besides who stays in a hotel room when you have the ocean 1 block away. There was a mini frigerator and microwave in the room, so we stocked up on snacks and drinks at the local grocery store. It was only a 15 minute walk to the gay beach and clubs from here.
Nothing Gay about this place
Wind Chimes Inn is just OK, could use a 'gay touch'. The grounds could use a bit of a clean up. Nice fluffy towels the first day, thin towels the rest of the week. Would not stay here again its a bit aways from most things.
