Pamela's (Closed Permanently)

(9 Ratings)
Popular eatery at the Numero Uno Guesthouse
One of the islands most well known restaurants, Pamela's puts an emphasis on local ingredients and has a menu with a unique Puerto Rican flair. The menu includes such Caribbean-nouveau dishes as spicy jalapeno-ginger shrimp, Jamaican-style roast loin of pork and turkey soup with corn and aji sauce. Beach front seating is available, and reservations are suggested.

PERFECT (5 stars is not a high enough rating)

We just returned from San Juan (Feb. 2013) and have stayed here many times. We ate at Pamel's the first year it was open. Perfect then and perfect now. Nothing like having fabulous food, sitting at a table on the beach, with linen napkins and real china, no paper or plastic here. The entire staff is very fiendly and eager to please. The whole place (Guest House and Pamela's) is top shelf. We would never stay anywhere else. This was our 8th time. The owners are wonderful people, and dedicated to making all the guests' stay enjoyable. If you want glizt and glamour, this is not the place, but if you want the beach, ocean, and great food to be the center of attention, then this IS the place.

great food great location on beach

Sand beneath your feet or inside out off the sun and or dark. You will enjoy this place. Pricey but worth it.

One of the best restaurants in Condado

Truely one of the best restaurants in Condado. It is a little over priced, but it is definitely worth one visit. I would, however, recommend that you avoid getting any alcohol there. It is definitely over priced. A single Corona is 7 dollars.

Great twist on local cuisine

Hit Pamela's between peak hours, but great ambiance, beach view, and menu. Food was several notches above the three other local cuisine restaurants I have visited this trip. It's well worth going out of your way. Exceptional food!
