Awful!
This place is a dump! We went there in March 2011. We booked two beach-front rooms. The screwed up the reservation and only had one available. The staff acted bothered to try to accommodate us. The service did not get any better for our entire stay. The rooms are small and dirty. The bar is crumbling. I cannot express how much I hate this place. I cannot wait to get back to Puerto Rico but I will never give these people another dollar! Please save your vacation and stay somewhere else! I created a gaycities account just to rant about how much this place sucks!
BORING
Went twice last week and each time there were very few people and those that were there were all tourists (white guys, mostly) and kept to themselves in their little cliques. The bar is very run-down but it's on a nice outdoor patio right on the beach. However, I wasn't there very late each time so am not sure if the crowd picks up later but I kinda doubt it. The only plus is that the beach behind it is supposedly gay-central during the day (along with Ocean Park Beach).

Have my place here to run to anytime I can escape from work in CT. Love it here-the people, the culture and the guys!
Not at all gay
We had stayed there several years before. Just is not the same place. Not gay at all...almost not gay friendly! The first room we looked at was a dump. So for a $$$ up grade we would get a room with a queen size bed...turned out to be a full with a single! Next to our room was a nice couple with a screaming 4 yr old...never again. The bar tender (gay) was terrific! But he left...If I could give a minus star rating...I would. Going back in April...staying at the Intercontinental in Isle Verde.
Um ok
Stayed at the La Concha. Went to Atlantic Beach bar next door. The location is great. Cannot complain about beachfront drinks however as previous posts say, the place is dead. The decor looks like you tree house from 3rd grade. The bartenders are nice but mostly straight. The owners really messed up in not investing in this ideally located bar with a loyal following. I was the youngest person there. Beers are relatively expensive unless you're there for happy hour but then again why would you go there for happy hour. Not a gay friendly place but a good place to grab a drink and watch the tide turn......for about a minute. I suggest going to the convenience store across the street, grabbing a $2 Medalla Light and sitting on the beach.
