Used to be

Used to be the place to be. But over 10 years ago the administration changed and the new ones killed the business. It is as dead as a door knob.

Don't recommend this hotel

The rooms are updates in clean ,although small, and although the bar and deck could use some work it should be a great space right on the ocean - the problem being nobody goes there. I spoke to some locals and word on the street is when the new owners tool over the hotel they didn't want to be gay friendly anymore and alienated many people in the process - now nobody, gay or straight seems to go there! Also, you cannot have guests in your room - strange, since I pay for it!! Extended my trip and stayed a San Juan Beach Hotel - almost the same price for a HUGE 10th floor room with a king bed overlooking the Lagoon - oh yeah and it was MY room to have guests in as I pleased!!

great location - but no visitors allowed in rooms.

We skipped a city in PR so had one night with out reservation. Booked one night in this hotel. The beach bar had some traffic during sun set but that was the only time I saw it with people. The bartenders were nice but the place needs a little bit of tlc. The bar area was not so inviting but the view was nice. There is a beach in front of the hotel and there are free beach chairs for guests to use. It was a little quite but the gay part of the beach is just next to the hotel where some locals and visitors lay out. A guy rents out beach chair for 3 dollars. Most of the public area in the hotel needs some updating. The room we stayed in was simple but nice, clean and newly renovated and had a view of the ocean. Our over all stay was ok. The only thing that might be a problem to others is you can not have visitors in your room. It is the hotel policy. Basically if you are traveling by yourself and plan to entertain, you might have to consider other accommodation options. But if that is not an issue, the place is clean and very convenient to everything.
